    Hello,
I just added the plugin after updating to 3.9. I don’t see any way to adjust vertical alignment, and the text which appears at the back end aligned with the cell next to it appears at the front end below it. I also see that the text appears bold even though the bold option is not checked.
I have WPML installed, which may be affecting this. Any thoughts?
I haven’t included a link since the post is still not public.
    Thanks,
    Ruth

TinyMCE 4 (which WordPress 3.9 upgraded to) initially dropped support for vertical alignment in its table plugin.

This has actually been added back in newer versions, but we have to keep the TinyMCE Table plugin in sync with WordPress’s bundled version of TinyMCE, which is 4.0.21. That version does not have vertical alignment added back.

As soon as WordPress upgrades core to a newer build of TinyMCE, we’ll upgrade the Table module with vertical alignments support!
