Problems with the dashboard after WP 3.9.1

  • I am having problems with my dashboard after I have updated my sites to 3.9 or 3.9.1

    the widgets page, the add new page page etc of the dashboard will not display correctly at all, and will not update my data correctly.

    as well as this, I am having trouble uploading media with the same kinds of problems with the uploading pages in the media library.
    I have attempted to deactivate plugins, and then reactive, and no plugins or several, it makes no difference to the display, likewise I have tried deactivating the installed theme and used the classic one, but nothing will make the dashboard and back office work correctly.

    anyone got any ideas?

    Try downloading WordPress again and delete then replace your copies of everything except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings. Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.
