Problems with “Submit for Review”

    Hello,

    I got a problem with the function “Submit for Review” (WordPress 2.3.3)

    If I create a new post (as an author user) and press the button “Submit for Review”, the admin will see the new post in the post-list with status “review” (not published).

    If I create a new post (as an author user) and save it (draft) – then edit the new post and press the button “Submit for Review”, the post gets the status “published”.

    Perhaps it is a bug in wp-admin/edit-form-advanced.php ?

    Have anybody some ideas how to fix it?

    After you create a post and save it as draft… and then go back and edit the post, make sure that you CHANGE the status from Draft to Pending Review in the sidebar, under Post Status before you Submit for Review again.

    You don’t say whether you’re using any role manager plugin (which was the case in the earlier thread), but if so, the fix there may work (if you haven’t moved long beyond this).
