I have added a Google Custom Search Engine (Ladakh Accommodations) into the body of one of my webpages https://theoff.info/Adventure-Travel/hotels-ladakh/. But the search engine styling is not proper.

    1. Left and bottom border around the search element is missing.
    2. There is a vertical line on search query text box.

Could anyone help in resolving these two problems?

    Thanks

  • Your site appears to have disabled the right mouse click. That makes it much harder to debug.

I have disabled the right mouse click because I have noticed people are stealing pictures from my website.

I can change the settings for a day or so to debug the engine styling problem, if it helps?

Disabling the right click doesn’t prevent one from stealing images but it can make your site less functional. I would recommend disabling it permanently. But if you can at least disable it for awhile, I’ll take a look at the code.

I have edited the website. Right click option is active.
Now you can view source by using right click menu.

theOff, have you benefited from using Google CSE? Has it improved your ranking in regular Google Search Results? Did it make it easier to receive revenue from Ads?

    thanks for your insight.

    Hello MJ,
You have an interesting question but I don’t have a ready made answer.
Are you using a CSE? Did it help you in generating ad revenue and / or improving search ranking?

    Thanks!

No, I am not using Google CSE, but I am thinking of implementing it on my website https://soccermoviemom.com.

I spent a couple of days researching CSE, and it appears that Google’s CSE indexing engine and regular indexing engine are separate. Articles claimed that if CSE gets users to stay on your site longer, than that would indirectly improve your SERP. I guess if you did not notice an improvement, then that confirms there is no direct relationship.

Thanks for your reply! your site had nice photos and info!
