I am trying to configure the plugins through setup but when I get to step 3 and do all the steps and press continue, it gives me the following message.

“Unable to update your Google Merchant Center contact information. Unable to update Merchant Center account: [account.businessIdentity] The given merchant does not meet requirements for assigning BusinessIdentity. Unable to update your contact information. Please try again later.”

    I attached a capture https://prnt.sc/0eYntyNKSo_K

The following message will appear in the plugins WooCommerce registration log:

“2023-10-19T21:12:05+00:00 ERROR Automattic\WooCommerce\GoogleListingsAndAds\Internal\DependencyManagement\GoogleServiceProvider::handle_unauthorized_error Client error: PUT https://api-vipgo.woocommerce.com/google/google-mc/content/v2.1/698580450/accounts/698580450 resulted in a 401 Unauthorized response: { “error”: { “code”: 401, “message”: “User is not an administrator of account 698580450”, “errors”: [ (truncated…)”

And I tried to connect and reconnect several times, and I used the connect and reconnect option from the url /wp-admin/admin.php?page=connection-test-admin-page, and I tried to deactivate the plugins and I still can’t solve the problem .

Same issue here. Replying for notifications of replies with a possible solution.

Hi! Also running into this issue.

Greetings, I have not found the solution and I have read many things and nothing. In fact I tried more than 30 previous versions of the plugins and still nothing.

Looking at how many people have had this issue recently (there are at least 3 threads on here with this problem), my guess is something is wrong with the plugin or something has changed with Google. It would be great if one of the developers of this plugin could shed some light on this. ??

Same issue, Tested on 2 different environments. A solution from the developers would be appreciated ??

I am having the exact same issue. Guess I’ll watch this and wait for a solution as nothing I’ve tried has worked.

We’re having the same issue here.

Greetings, it doesn’t work for me, the problem still persists, I tried to do the setup from scratch and disconnecting and reconnecting all the Google accounts and still nothing, I even performed the test for this url “/wp-admin/admin.php?page=connection-test-admin-page” again and now the test doesn’t fail but it appears The same message “Unable to update your Google Merchant Center contact information. Please reconnect your Google account. Unable to update your contact information. Please try again later.”.

I was wondering if you guys did anything different that you could tell me about, please?

    Hi there @jancz24 ??

Could you confirm the version of the Google Listings & Ads plugin you are facing the issue with, please?

Just to note, version 2.5.10 of it (directly linked here) is the latest release.

    Thank you.
