Hi @jonzavala thanks for reaching out and sharing the error output you are seeing. This looks to be related to the AdSense module in this case. To help you further with this please could you share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. Where do you see this message? For example is it displaying on your Site Kit dashboard or when trying to set up the plugin/module?
    3. Has this started to occur just recently? If so do you recall any changes you may have made to your site since you started noticing this error? (ie. plugin installs or configurations)

It would also be helpful to get any console errors you can see if any when this message displays. Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Once we have your Site Health information we can provide some suggestions based on your current setup.

Thanks for answering. I have submitted the health information from my site.

The message appears on the Site Kit dashboard. Another error message appears on the top bar (under each entry).

A few weeks ago I switched to GA4.

@jonzavala thanks for the information provided. I can’t see anything that stands out here so it would be useful at this point to rule out any potential plugin/theme conflict which could be causing this. To do this could you please follow our troubleshooting guide and let me know if this highlights anything.

Could I also ask if you are just using Site Kit for GA4 currently as you mentioned you had switched? When going to Site Kit > Settings > Connected services > Analytics can you confirm that you have Site Kit inserting your GA4 snippet?

    Thanks for the answer.

I cannot access any part of Site Kit, even with the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin active and following the instructions.

If I try to view connected services, I get the following error.

An error occurred while running 'mapSelect': Cannot read properties of null (reading 'isUsingProxy')
The error may be correlated with this previous error:

@jonzavala thanks for trying the troubleshooting steps. Could I ask you to also try accessing from an Incognito browsing window to see if you get the same outcome?

    (@jonzavala)

I have tried incognito mode and the same error appears.

@jonzavala Do you know exactly when this started to happen? Was it when connecting a certain module for example the AdSense module?

Could you try resetting your Site Kit by going to Tools > Available tools > Reset Site Kit and try the setup once more but this time leave the AdSense module disconnected and check to see if you get these error messages. If you don’t could you then try connecting the AdSense module to see if that is then the cause?

Let me know how this goes and if you have any further questions.

Reset Site Kit and the error continues, it does not allow me to connect anything. I uninstalled Site kit and installed it again and the error continues.

I started having the problem a week ago.

@jonzavala To better understand what is going wrong here could you please follow the exact steps below while recording your experience. You can use a service such asLoom to record this and share the URL ere for us to see. Here are the instructions:

    1. Login to your site from a Chrome browser incognito window
    2. With the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin active navigate to “Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.
    3. From the same screen click on the “Available Plugins” tab at the top right and then click on the “Enable” option next to “Site Kit by Google”
    4. Check the Site Kit dashboards once more, while also checking for any browser console errors (link)

Let me know if you have any questions.

@jonzavala I can also see various console errors, while also noticing some NitroPack plugin JavaScript resources, along with some other on site optimisations. In most cases these shouldn’t have any impact however it’s worthwhile to rule out such conflicts which is why these checks can provide useful information.

    Thread Starter JonZavala

    (@jonzavala)

I put all this conflict to rest. Hours later, I noticed that I could already access Site Kit, and it asked me to reconnect. At the end of the process, another error was thrown (attached link with screenshots).

    https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1UrsJBzmbXPGvSz6AyC9cLntU4sp1yiQz?usp=sharing

I did the process in incognito mode with “Health Check & Troubleshooting” and it allowed me to do it.

At the moment SiteKit is working.

Do you think that some plugin has caused me a conflict?

    Thread Starter JonZavala

    (@jonzavala)

Rank math also asks me for access to Analytics, can that cause a conflict?

    Plugin Support Adam Dunnage

    (@adamdunnage)

@jonzavala thanks for the update and glad to hear that you have managed to access your Site Kit. This does sound like it could have been a plugin conflict but hard to say for sure unless you can replicate this issue by activating/deactivating a specific plugin.

I will mark this topic as resolve but please do feel free to open a new topic in future if you encounter any more issues or have any questions and we will be happy to help.
