• Dear Yop Poll creators,

We use your plugin and we really like it.
However, we are experiencing problem. We want to allow anonymous vote only once (we use IP + Cookie block).

But, if I test this by simply changing IP address, sometimes we can vote again, like cookie is not playing any role?
Do we need to disable some cookie caching at the level of our hosting provider? What could cause us these problems?

Also, we noticed that your premium plugin has “fingerprint” option.
Can you give us more details on how this works? Would this feature be more reliable then IP + Cookie?
We would buy premium plugin, but we need to know this first, thanks!

    So, two questions:
    * Could there be any kind of hosting related issue that stops IP + Cookie from working correctly?
    * Is fingerprint better validation and if it, why?

Thank you for sorting this out for us.

    Kind regards,
    Milan

    Hey Milan

Unfortunately there is nothing to be done on the hosting provider side.
Since cookies are stored on voters browser, they can easily be deleted/blocked.

As for fingerprint option, please contact us on our website as we are not allowed to offers support for pro version on this forum.

    Thank you.
