Problems with sidebar in 2012 on Linux (and ?Mac?)
-
The right-hand sidebar of my site is going missing. But the problem only happens on some computers, MAYBE OS-dependent.
The site is https://www.themagicofyou.co.uk, 2012 child theme. On each page, at the top right, immediately under “Contact” the right-hand sidebar should be visible, starting with the words “Free Initial Meeting” in red.
On the Linux netbook I am writing this on, the sidebar is completely blank all the way down to the very bottom of the page, and only then the sidebar text begins, below the footer.
Question 1: Please can someone tell me if it is OK on a Mac?
Question 2: Is it broken for anyone on a PC?
Question 3: It is broken for anyone else on Linux? It used to be OK on this netbook, but today one minute it was OK, the next minute broken. I didn’t do anything to the site that looks significant. ( I was tweaking the Contact Form plugin, but that only applies to one page, the contact page, and is not in any sidebar. I disabled the plugin and the problem continued.)
On this netbook the problem is consistent in Firefox and Chromium. It does not occur at all on several Windows machines. I’ve seen it on one other computer, not sure of the OS, probably Mac.
The person who developed the site can’t replicate it on her PC, so she can’t help. If it’s “only” linux it’s not too bad, if it is Mac OS or Windows it is very serious. Any help greatly appreciated.
I don’t know for sure it is OS-dependent, that’s a guess.
