Problems with “Projects” widgets

  • Following a long-overdue theme update, I find that the URLs linking Projects images (in the widgets on the landing page) to the different call out pages are no longer working.
    I’ve tried all sorts of things (in both Appearance>Customizer & Appearance>Widgets) including deleting all the widgets entirely and starting again. But I cannot get the URL links to actually link to the call out pages.

    Is there some trick here that I am missing?

    NOTE: the widgets are currently deleted to avoid confusing people. I have, instead, inserted the links in a bit of text above where the widgets would normally be.
