• i’ve been having the worst luck with plugins. almost everything i’ve added and activated has resulted in some very wacky errors, some of which are:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/reachm5/public_html/amstreet/wp-settings.php on line 87
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/reachm5/public_html/amstreet/wp-admin/plugins.php on line 36
Warning: in_array(): Wrong datatype for second argument in /home/reachm5/public_html/amstreet/wp-admin/plugins.php on line 115
the problem doesn’t go away when i deactivate the plugin, but will go away if i run upgrade.php again.
can someone tell me what’s going on? at this rate, i am unable to use either the WPBlacklist or Auto-Shutoff Comments plugins.
another interesting quirk i’ve noticed is that i can only edit the most recently added registered user. any of the users who registered prior to the last one do not show up with the “Edit” field.
both of these in 1.3alpha2, 30 Aug 2004 build.
the site is live now, btw, multiuser high traffic politics/issues blog with over 45 contributors. so do i have anything to worry about when 1.3 goes gold?

  • maybe try upgrading to another CVS man, cause I don’t think plugins would cause probs in the wp-settings.php

maybe. still, i’d really like to hear from one of the developers if there are any changes in a newer release because i don’t want to make any changes that could adversely affect what i already have in place.
right now, the site is live, https://www.reachm.com/amstreet/ running on 1.3a2, and has about 45 registered contributors. we’re still working on getting them used to WP, so if the two bugs i mentioned above haven’t been addressed, i’d be inclined to stay put until a version has been released that does fix them.
i’d also love to know if anyone else has run into issues where using the Spam Words and WP Blacklist may/do conflict with each other, but i haven’t had much luck in getting folks to respond to any of my posts… you were the second one ??

Some plugins will need to be updated to work properly with 1.3, I don’t use either of the ones you mention so I can’t say whether they have any problems, your best bet would be to contact the authors of the plugins you’re having trouble with. Also make sure when you update that you overwrite all the WordPress files.
