Problems with Pingbacks to Daily Post

Can you give me a link to a specific post that you tried to link to Daily Post?

I believe you need to include them in actual link tags, not just paste the URL, so:

<a href="https://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_prompt/cast-change/">Cast Change</a>

Also, you’re using the trackback URL, but they say “Include a pingback and we’ll list your post below.” A pingback is created by just using the post’s URL, not the trackback URL.

I’m sorry for sounding completely ignorant but I have to ask (and may end up slapping my forehead) but what is the difference between the post’s URL and the trackback URL?

https://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_prompt/cast-change/ is the post’s URL (what you should use), https://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_prompt/cast-change/trackback is the trackback URL (what you have been using). ??

Oh! Actually I haven’t been using that. I just tried that earlier today as a one time thing on the cast-change post because I saw it worked for someone in one of the forums. Sorry for the confusion.

But now that I think of it, I didn’t put the /trackback on the other posts and they didn’t go over.

Hm, you’re right, only https://www.cindyprn.com/i-love-lucy-two-crazy-lady-stories/ has the /trackback link.
