• I have moved my blog to self self hosting it with blue host. I still have the same theme – Oxygen but because I am no longer operating in wordpress.com I don’t have the option to easily add a header image. I have got round this by changing the custom CSS in the theme editor section to include an image and then removing the standard logo. however now I have the problem of my primary menu is intersecting the header image.

Ideally i would like to have my primary menu sit under the header image and be centred rather than left aligned. If possible I would also like them to be in a black box.

    Any help would be awesome

    Thanks

  • In wordpress admin:

    1) click on appernace
    2) under appearance click on header and choose your header image by default or upload image of given size.
    3) set css of
    <div id=”access” role=”navigation”> for center alignment of menu’s.

    gizmo,
any idea on changing the logo on Oxygen to a banner size? Or, if not change size, center the logo?

    Social-whirl,

My problem is exactly as you stated above, with the same theme. I no longer have the option of easily adding a header, and yet I want my logo to sit in the middle of the header and be much larger than it is now. Your site’s header is the fact placement I need/want, how did you accomplish this?

My site (early stages progress): https://www.bohemiantable.com

    Thanks

    Bohemiantable,

If you create your own thread depicting the issue, with perhaps a link to this thread, you’re more likely to receive help.

Thanks Andrew, just did. I appreciate the help. New to this stuff. Thread is here.
