    Hello,

After we updated to last version 4.3, some links on our page always redirect to the cart. When we deactivate Download monitor, the links works fine. We have tried the new feature “Shop”: configure Cart and Checkout pages. In the product, we check Is purchable, and add the price, but when click to download it always goes to “No access” page. We try to update “Permanent links” of WordPress, but the problems persist. So, we decided go down to previous version of plugin (4.2.1) and it works well again. How could we solve this problems in the new version?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,
    Mar

    Hey Mar,

I’m sorry to hear that. Could you please elaborate what you mean with “some links on our page always redirect to the cart”. Did you setup the cart page from within the Download Monitor page?

Downloads that are purchable should indeed link to the no-access page if not purchased yet. We’re actually rewritten part of this logic as we speak because we heard from multiple users this isn’t always desired.

    Kind Regards,

OK, I will try to explain myself better!

We have configured cart page with the configuration page of Download Monitor, and added the shortcode [dlm_cart]. We also tried to deactivate cart and go directly to checkout, but it still happens. We have Woocommerce, is it possible that it is in conflict with this?

Our page have a Custom post type with custom taxonomy. It is not related to Download Manager nor does it have links to downloadable files. This taxonomy are types of activities for show on a board, and they have a name, a description and a link (to go to page of each type of activity. For example: Events, Contests, Education, Exhibitions…). When Download Monitor is active, these links always redirect to the cart page. When Download Monitor is disabled, the link go to the page for this type of activitiy. For example (web it’s not real): myweb.com/type-activity/exhibitions/

The sale of downloadable files is not a priority for us, but the correct work of the links is very important.

Downloads that are purchable should indeed link to the no-access page if not purchased yet.

OK, I understood this. Would it be possible that if the file to be downloaded has not yet been purchased, a message is displayed and redirected to the page to buy this?

    Excuse my english, please.

    Regards,
    Marina.

    Hi again,

I have update to 4.4 and all works fine while I have Shop disabled, if I enable Shop, the problems written in the previous post occurs again.

Thank you so much for the option to enable/disable Shop separately, I can work in this 4.4 version! But I will continue to investigate what is happenning with the links that redirect to cart when Shop is active.

I have seen that there is a new post type: Shop, I think is good idea separate downloads and products, and great if there is no Woocomerce installed. Another hand, I have a suggestion: integration with Woocommerce in future?

    Regards,
    Marina.

    Hey Marina,

Thanks for your feedback. While we have no immediate plans to integrate with WooCommerce, as it does already have the feature for selling downloads, we are creating our own solution and would be focussing on making it better.
