Hello, I’ve been working on a new site so only started using your plugin.
    Two issues:

    1. The stats. I have no idea how they are now setup in new version, they just don’t seem to register, and the old stats are gone, but new downloads are not registering. I don’t care about the old stats, but obviously new ones.

    2. VPS server overloaded. As someone else has said their VPS was overloaded, mine didn’t stop but the CPU and RAM were maxed out, I had no idea what the issue was. I’m still not sure that this plugin is the culprit but it’s the only thing that changed. I will have a look at the DB to see if there’s anything there.

Have rolled back to 4.5.9.9 for now. Stats are back, and the VPS already looks less overloaded.

    Best wishes,
    Chrissy

  • Hello @paperkawaii ,

Thanks for reporting this. Could you please let us know how many logs you have in the {prefix}download_log table? Also, could you please tell us the version of the plugin that you were experiencing new download count problem?

    Warmly,
    Razvan

There are 76 rows in the table. I believe 4.6.4 but I cannot be certain.

For now I am going to disable the plugin as the VPS still is not running as it was, hopefully this plugin isn’t the cause, I don’t see how it could be. But disabling will let me know.

Wasn’t there a way to turn of the logging/reporting?

There was a way, but it has been removed since version 4.6.0 of the plugin because we want to give the users more relevant reports data, thing that could not be done if the logs were missing or were deleted.

We are investigating the performance problems and gathering data so that we can take a decision and see what is the direction that we should go.

    Warmly,
    Razvan

We’ve managed to find the problem regarding the performance issues and we’re working to solve it, most probably at the end of the week or the start of next week we’ll deploy version 4.7.0 of the plugin that should solve this issue.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Hey @paperkawaii ,

Did you give v4.7.x a try? Wondering if the issue still persists on your end.

    Hello,

Yes, I ended up updating and leaving it running. The performance seems better, I did delete the reports table I believe so it could be freshly upgraded.

The stats do seem to be working although on the reports page, there is a list at the bottom, each item says “0” in the total column. Even though the graph shows the downloads.

Thanks for the attention to the support request! ??

Hmm, that is strange. Although, the graph uses another table, the one you mentioned – dlm_reports_table -, but that table was created based on the download_log table. Do you have any errors in the console?

    Warmly,
    Razvan

No errors, I feel like I must have screwed something up.
When I visit the reports page, and set the date range for last 2 days for example, it shows 3 downloads. It lists the downloads but they have “0” still on the right count column.
Is there a way I can reset all the stats without deleting the downloads themselves?

There are 25 rows in download_log
There are 6 rows in dlm_reports_log

The latest row’s date is today in download_log…

    Hey Chrissy,

There’s nothing to screw up ?? if something has gone wrong you can recreate the upgrade environment from dashboard > Downloads > Settings > Advanced > Miscellaneous > Recreate upgrade environment, we do not delete anything that is set in the database.

If you go to reports and clear the browser’s cache does it change anything? Also, could you please give us a screenshot or a video with the Browser’s console ( from the developer tools ) to see if there are any errors when you go to the Reports page?

Could you please go to dashboard > Tools > Site Health > Info > Server and let me know what is the PHP memory limit? Also, are you by any chance using Woocommerce?

    Warmly,
    Razvan

Hello, sorry for the delay. I believe the problem is in using Safari.
I loaded up Chrome and it’s displaying properly, with the numbers in the right count column.

My safari version is 15.3 and there are no errors in the console.
I’ve removed the cache and also tried on an (up to date) iPad and it also doesn’t show the count.

    Hope that helps ??
