THE PROBLEM IS RESOLVED BY ENTERING CORRECT .htaccess CODE IN SERVER.

    Steps I followed:
1.Remember to first add the wp-config.php line then go to wordpress network admin>sub-directory admin>settings>Network Setup.

2.Now copy .htaccess code, (it is generated only after you switch sub-directory install) to server .htaccess file.

    JUST FOLLOW THE STEPS Carefully.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Please help, not only have my Themes upload dissapear when I upgraded my WordPress Multi Site, my Network Admin has now also dissapeared??? I don’t know how to retrieve it or how to go re-load my previous version.

any advice on how to fix this problem please?

    Carien

Check for /wp-admin/network/ on your server. Are the files there? Does the folder have the same permissions/ownership as the rest of the WP folders?

Check your config file. Are the multisite lines in there? If not, put ’em back.

I think all the newbies (me too), should
    -carefully follow codex guides,
    -make back ups,
    -Take notes of steps,

Backups are a must must!! guys. IT just saved me from hell!

    Ipstenu,

I’m sorry… I was looking at the topic and because I experienced the same problem with missing Themes, I thought this would be the place to post.

    Andrea,

Thank you for the info, surprisingly enough my Network folder is within the wp-admin folder, what I did notice however with the themes, is that the themes folder is saved under wp-content / themes, but when I do a theme search on the admin panel, it searching wp-admin / themes.

I’ve basically tried everything… and it’s still all missing … Maybe I must reload?

however with the themes, is that the themes folder is saved under wp-content /

    that’s where themes go.

but when I do a theme search on the admin panel, it searching wp-admin / themes.

that’s the right address in the admin area. note it’s themes.php.

You install new themes in Network Admin. You then have to *enable* them there to show up in the sub sites Appearance menu.

(I wish we cold split threads.)
