Problems with multilanguage widget – polylang

  • Hello,

    I kindly need help on an issue I’m experiencing with the widgets.
    Using Twentyseventeen and having activated the plugin Polylang, when I try to open a new widget on the footer (for example an image or a text) the widget does not show me the possibility to choose for which language to use the new widget. I can only insert the image or the text and it remains the same for any language. Is there a solution to this issue? I looked around but couldn’t find one. Thank you

    TLDR; The language filter works only with legacy widgets, not with blocks. So if you need this feature, you have 2 alternatives: Use the plugin Classic Widgets or switch to Polylang Pro which enables the features for blocks too.
