problems with media upload

    hi guys,

    till yesterday everything was working great, i was writing my articles and set some photos into my posts too. everything work till yesterday but then uploading a new pic i started getting problems

    picture is not uploaded properly , doesn’t show me the pic and no pic details as it did before – i tried to upload it directly via ftp client but nothing happens
    the new picture doesn’t appear on my page and not on my media gallery

    anyone an idea what is the problem ? on the same article i uploaded a few minutes before that several pics without a problem

    webspace is enough so that can’t be a problem, that seems to be a wordpress problem but i really don’t know what it can be , nothing was changed from my side, simply it stopped working , please help as i mostly work with pics in my posts.

    ok, i found my problem

    after updating to wordpress 4.2.2 i had to change php script to version 5.5
    all works perfectly again now

    you should login to you hosting server
    there should be an option to change your php version

    Having the same problem. Tried deactivating and testing plug ins, still not working…Can you help me find where to update the php? Here’s my list of files, but don’t know where to find the php version and change it. Thanks!

    hey David

    you don’t need to change anything within your files
    you need to connect to your hosting provider
    where you bought the webspace for your page
    there you should have the option to change your php script
