Problems with maps admin not working on PHP 7.2? Read this.

  • Embedded within this now-unsupported plugin is an out-of-date version of CMB2 (which provides developers with easy custom fields). More recent version of CMB2 have fixed their compatibility with PHP 7.2, which many WordPress hosting providers are forcing an update to recently.

    Easy fix: Install the CMB2 plugin from the repository. This overrides the out-of-date version that is embedded in this plugin and fixes the error.

    I am not with the company who originally created this plugin, I’m just trying to put in one place the solution to this problem that many of us are now facing.

    this saved us from replacing this solution quite yet.

    I found that replacing the contents of the folder under
    wp-content/plugins/google-maps-builder/vendor/wordimpress/maps-builder-core/includes/libraries/metabox
    also worked without actually installing the plugin on its own.
