problems with login page not working… help??

    Yep, going crazy here! Could use some help asap! I have done a lot of trouble shooting and cannot figure out the cause of this issue.

    The wp-login.php is not loading anything after attempting to log in. It just refreshes the login page with no errors. If I intentionally put in incorrect login info, I DO get an invalid password warning. I have tried using login widgets too and they do not log me in.

    However, in Firefox, I can sometimes login as the admin. But I cannot login as any other user. I get that same login refresh problem. In IE, I can’t login as anyone at all.

    I have tried disabling all plugins via admin and database with no luck. Tried renaming the plugin directory with no luck. Also tried disabling all themes except default. I have tried the login form with multiple themes and none of them work.

    I should mention that I build WP sites all the time and all of them work fine and are also on the same type of hosting as this one. I used the same install methods too.

    Can anyone PLEASE help me with this???

    It’s really strange because now I was able to use a login widget in the sidebar in IE to log in as the admin, but when I logged out and tried to log back in on the wo-login.php page… still had the same problem with it not logging me in. Just refreshed the login page with no errors.

    PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!

    Hmmm… so strange. I can log in as the admin via wp-login.php in any browser now. But I cannot log in with any other user. I created a second admin user and no matter how I try to log in or even using a new browser with all cookies cleared, I cannot log in. Can only log in with the primary admin.

    I tried to add a new user just now and when I tried to submit it, I just got a blank white page here…

    It does appear to have added the user though.

    Hmm.. ok so old users appear to have something causing the issue with the login. Any new users created via admin are able to log in just fine. However, if I try to use the registration form on the public site, I get the following error…

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class PHPMailer in /home/content/g/i/r/girlz411/html/wp-includes/class-phpmailer.php on line 34

    Okay, Since no one wants to take this one, I will, first of all, let me see your blog and what theme are you using?

    I am using a custom theme that uses BuddyPress and wp-e-commerce.

    what role do you need? The registration process seems to be what’s having trouble now.

    Nevermind, I tried the register tab and it returned me an error when I registered, might be because you’re using a custom register page:

    But yeah, just a suscriber role

    It logged me in. No errors at all.

    You know, this might be… Do you have any sort of plugins to block the login of a user by IP or any other User management plugin?
