Problems with image thumbnails.

    I hope I’m helping more than bothering!

    The thumbnail settings seem to not be overriding the native image ratio. I’m not sure if this is a post-update issue, as the first page I was building yesterday square images.

    Within the Image Settings>Content tab, there are several options for Thumbnail and Large Image sizes. The thumbnails can be set to a variety of sizes, many of which seem to depend on the size of the uploaded image. However, the common 150×150 setting does not seem to be working, as my images are displaying at their actual ratio. (Not even the Archive-thumbnail setting of 220×150. They’re something like 175×110).

    I guess I forgot about this issue as I’ve been so busy with other elements of my site.

    The CSS tweaks you provided work great! I have, however, decided that I actually do like the look of the “archive thumnails” better, which retain the whole image even if it’s not a perfect square. I will keep this in mind though if I decide to post any images I want to remain square.
