Problems with htaccess file

  • Dear friends!

    I have a wordpress blog, in the root of course there is a .htaccess file and I have a survey application installed in a folder like https://www.mysite.com/survey, also there is another .htaccess file; everything was working right, but now when I try to enter my survey application typing https://www.mysite.com/survey, seems that the wordpress htaccess takes control and shows Error 404 – not found. It get back to work only when I delete the .htaccess file in the root, but of course my wordpress blog begins to fail. I didn’t change anything and it was working perfect until last Saturday, please can anyone here help me to solve this problem? thank you very much for your help.
