After transferring the site, the file .htaccess is very often deleted. Appears instead .htaccess.190110132050.orig with content
<!– Reset by Duplicator Installer. Original can be found in .htaccess.190110132055.orig –>

    With web.config the same.

How to deal with this problem?

  • Hey @yanovich,

If you don’t want Duplicator to reset the .htaccess file then on step 1 under options in the installer is a checkbox that will prevent Duplicator from updating the file. Please note however that if the .htaccess is not properly setup to the new site then issues might occur.

    Hope that helps~

After transferring the site I deleted the plugin. But the .htaccess file keeps dropping constantly. What to do?

    Hi @yanovich,

I would double check that all the installer files are removed. See this FAQ
? ? – Which files need to be removed after an install?
    ? ? – https://snapcreek.com/duplicator/docs/faqs-tech/#faq-installer-295-q

Also double check the /plugins/duplicator/ folder is removed and its no longer showing in the plugins list. If all these items are validated and the .htaccess is dropped then there is some other process that modifies the file.

    Hope that helps~
