After adding a forminator form, saving and confirming it works, upon returning to the edit screen, the form is rendered as the follow:

‘This block contains unexpected or invalid content’ and there are two options Resolve or Convert to HTML.

Can you help or is there an update to apply to make it Gutenberg compatible?

  • Hello @fatherb

    Hope you’re doing well!

Would you please let me know more about how the form shortcode is added? I’ve added the Forminator shortcode in the Gutenberg shortcode block and could not reproduce mentioned error message.

Was the shortcode added in a text block? Even in a text box, shortcode was rendered. Are there any other elements added in the same text block?

Please try adding a shortcode in its own block. Let us know how it went!

    Cheers,
    Nastia

I added the form by clicking plus in Gutenberg and choosing the Form block. In that option were the forminator forms.

The form works – it’s the rendering of it in the editing of the page that Gutenberg doesn’t seem to understand. Once it’s been added and saved Gutenberg no longer sees it as a legitimate block, even though it is working on the page ok.

Anyway, have tried again today – deleted the form and added it again, saved the page and refreshed a few times and again I get the ‘this block contains unexpected or invalid content’

    Hello there @fatherb,

hope you’re doing good today! ??

I was able to replicate this and already created a bug report for our developers. It seems that a wrapper class we’re using is causing issues.

Will keep you posted here about any development on this!

    Thank you,
