    Hi, I am having quite a trouble with a customer: I moved all the client’s accounts to gmail, I created a specific user for the bounces but with new settings It doesn’t work at all.

    I checked all the settings, when I save them and click on the connection test everyting seems fine, but If I refresh the wp page and try the connection test again, I receive the alert

    Error connecting to {imap.gmail.com:993/ssl/service=imap}
    Retrying PLAIN authentication after [AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Invalid credentials (Failure),Retrying PLAIN authentication after [AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Invalid credentials (Failure),Can not authenticate to IMAP server: [AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Invalid credentials (Failure)

    I don’t understand, the email account works perfectly, It’s able to send and receive emails, I double checked the credentials and they’re all right. What could it be?

    Thanks for your help!

    Sorry, I posted in the wrong page.

    I think I’ve had this problem too — but it’s not the software that is at fault. Check the port and protocol parms very closely. Do you have them set correctly? Is protocol set to IMAP or IMAP-SSL?
