• 1. First problem is that I can’t get the To field (of mail 1) to display: FirstName LastName <[email protected]>. If I put in the FirstName LastName (or even just a single word), the form won’t send out. If I remove FirstName LastName, it sends out fine (with or without the surrounding <> of the eMail address). Why is that? Is there special formatting I have to use?

    2. Second problem is that I have only ONCE been able to get the Mail 2 to send out.. then I changed something – probably the From field address.. but not really sure what.. and after that, the second form won’t send out anymore.. no matter what I put in the From field. (Note: That one time it did go out, I didn’t have the FirstName LastName <[email protected]> in the From Field.. just the [email protected]. (and it gave me the WordPress name instead).

Is there problems using eMail addresses that are associated with WP admin.. or the same address is used for the From / To (like you might do when testing)?

Is there some way I can check logs to see what/if errors are occurring?

What do you need from me to help figure this out? I can paste in here the settings I have for both Mail 1 & 2. Or I can paste in the resulting Html of the contact form if that helps.

    Thanks!

I’ve done some testing.. and it appears that something funny is going on.. I can get both Mail 1 & Mail 2 emails to go out.. but only if I truncate what I want to put into the message area for Mail 2. (This actually seems to be intermittent.. meaning sometimes I can get lucky and get the whole content in the message, and it will send, but if I change anything… like one character.. it stops working again. Could this be like a sumcheck problem???

Here is what I use for the form fields

To keep the TO and FROM fields consistent, and to try to simplify – this is what I have used for Mail 1:

    To: [email protected]
    From: [name] <[email]>
    Sender: [email protected]
    Reply-To: [name] <[email]>
    BCC: [email protected]

    And for the Mail 2:
    To: [email protected]
    From: [email protected]
    Sender: [email protected]
    Reply-To: [email protected]
    BCC: [email protected]

This works fine (both emails are received as espected) as long as I don’t have much in the message area in Mail 2.

Once I add the following, it stops working:

OK.. I’ve nailed it down to be a problem with the To field. If you put in anything else than an eMail address in the To field of either the Mail 1 or Mail 2.. it won’t send out the eMail. I’ll open a nother post for this problem so it is not poluted with my comments while I was trying to figure out the problem!
