    Hi There,

I’m hoping someone can help me with a string translation issue I’m having.

I’ve installed Events Manager and Events Manager and WPML Compatibility – and I have events listed in french and english .. no problem.

I’ve added the appropriate strings in String translation – when I look at all the strings (eg: Date/Time) – they all have the correct French listing, translation is complete is ticked and saved.

But.. quite a few of them are not showing up in the front end of the site.

For example: Date / Heure is definitely translated in String Translation, but is displaying as “Date/Time” in the front end.

the “Send your booking” button is “Envoyer votre demande de réservation” in string translation – but is showing up english in the front end. ??

Some of them are showing fine for example: “Price” is showing “Prix”, and “Comments” is showing “Commentaire”

Can anybody help? give me a suggestion as to where to look to fix this?

Also just a quick note. It could easily be a theme problem – my theme was not WPML ready – in order to get the menus to work and many other things, i’ve had to go in and hard-code “<?php if(ICL_LANGUAGE_CODE==’en’): ?> …etc.” statements. but even if so… where do I go to hard code the fix?

    thanks!
    St.

hmm, it works for me; however, did you already clicked on the globe icon under Events > Settings > Formatting > Events? also, do you have sample link to your site with this issue for us to see and analyze please?

    Hi Angelo

Thanks for responding – you can see what’s happening if you go to https://elainekonopka.com/fr/#events-and-workshops

The events list is being put in by short code – and if you click on any one of the events – you can see the somewhat pick-and-miss use of french language strings.

Woahhh.. hold on.. I just re-read what you wrote Angelo –

NOW i’m seeing these elusive globe icons .. I had no idea that was there before!

Ok.. I’ll go do that.. and then get back to you
