Problems with Formatting and Saving

I am new to Word Press – and not real fond of it at the moment! I prepare my posts in MS word, and then copy them into WP and save as I go. But it constantly changes all my formatting! And I have to redo sentces, put spaces back in and end up savinga 3 paragraph post about 12 times before it’s right! What am I doing wrong????
