    Hello,

I am having a strange issue with digital download links in emails. When a customers orders using Stripe everything works great and the email contains the link to download the file.

However, if they use PayPal the email doesn’t contain the link to download it. Everything seems to being working good when processing payments from Paypal. The The order says IPN payment completed and everything else is redirecting correctly so I am not sure why it does not include the download link in the email.

Anyone ever run into this issue?

  • Hi @wonkymango,

I suspect that the IPN notification isn’t received before the email is sent to the customer. Because of that, the download links aren’t in the emails. Stripe communicates payment information differently so it’s not affected.

The IPN delay is outside of what we can control so I would encourage users to go with Stripe if possible. That will avoid this situation.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thnaks!
