problems with custom header size & quality

    Hi, I’ve recently installed the Weaver WP Theme & have been playing around with some basic customization, my problem is when I upload a custom header (at 940×180 pixels) it keeps cropping a portion off the right hand side.
    I’ve even tried down scaling the image several times but every time the same part gets cropped, also the quality of the image(JPEG) is being lost & appearing very fuzzy!
    Any thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
