in checkmail-validation-for-contact-form-7.php
change line 24 from
add_action('plugins_loaded', 'contact_form_7_checkmail', 10);

to

add_action('wpcf7_init', 'contact_form_7_checkmail', 10);

change line 24 of the plugins file called

checkmail-validation-for-contact-form-7.php

from

add_action(‘plugins_loaded’, ‘contact_form_7_checkmail’, 10);

to

add_action(‘plugins_loaded’, ‘contact_form_7_checkmail’, 15);

also does the trick.
