So my problem is the following:

In my theme I had the php code between ‘title’ tags. I didn’t want to have the same title appear as the header/banner on my website so I simply deleted the php code and inserted the text I wanted between the title tags. Central European specific fonts appear as squares or other funky symbols in the title although when I open the php page in a text editor, I have the proper fonts.

Blog is set to UTF-8 and all the fonts within the blog posts, pages and comments appear absolutely OK.

When I change the blog’s coding to ISO8859-2 or windows-1250, the title appears OK but then the whole contents of the side get funky symbols instead of fonts…

Any possibility to solve this mystery?
