Problems with Buddypress 'Load More' button

  • Hello,

    I’m managing a Buddypress site that has a strongly multi-lingual user base.

    In buddypress there is an ‘Activity Update’ feed that shows comments of users, and at the bottom there is a ‘Load More’ button that will dynamically retreive and display more activity updates (without reloading the page).

    The problem I’m having is that when the ‘Load More’ button is pressed, the additional activity updates are not translated.

    My guess is that the transposh translation occurs when the page is first loaded and does not translate the additional activity updates when they are loaded.

    So, I have two questions:
    1) Is my assessment of what is happening correct?
    2) Is there any advice about how I should approach creating a quick-fix solution to this problem? I’m guessing I’ll need to trigger the translation process each time the ‘Load More’ button is pressed, but I haven’t look closely enough at the code to figure it out yet.

    Hi @simplyletgo,

    Unlike your name, this is not very simple, in the past I have dealt with this issue and made sure the results went through the translation engine. I haven’t tested it with buddypress in a long while.

    So to sum it up.
    1. used to work, but I guess your assessment may be correct
    2. I suggest you go to the our dev site and look at the commits marked with buddypress, it will give you a lead.

    Unfortunately, having other stuff to work on, I can’t get to this (in a reasonable timeframe) with the free support option, but if you need advice, I’ll be happy to assist.
