Problems with Add To Cart button

    Hello
    On this URL https://www.ictexcellence.co.za/actwithfaithbook I have the following problems
    On all pages, except the products/shop pages, I use the [add_to_cart] shortcode to register purchases
    On the individual products pages the purchase function is executed normally
    On the pages where I use the shortcode, once the purchase button is activated the system generates infinite redirects and loops
    On the products/shop pages it seems to work properly although there is a page refresh after every purchase activation

    Going mad here because I cannot find the problem and really hoping that some knowledgeable person will coe to my rescue.

  • How did you use the [add_to_cart] short code? Did you put into a php file or created a page. If you put into one of your files please send the snippet so we can see.

    (I visited your page, but could not get pass the youtube video to browes your site and see the actual issue)

    Bit confused. There is no youtube video on the site. Did you use https://www.ictexcellence.co.za/actwithfaithbook ?

    The shortcode is called from a widget using Weaver Xtreme theme, thus

    Yes, that is the only link you have provided and once I click on the link there is a blank youtube video comes up and blocks the page. I sent you an email (to the address listed on your main page) with the screen shot of the page, so you can see what I see when I click on your page.

    The email just came back undelivered.

    Is this the message do you get when you click on the “Add To Basket” ?

    “The page isn’t redirecting properly”

    Is this the only one item you have placed the code? If you placed into other items, do you have the same issue with all of them? Does any of them work properly?

    Yes that is the message.

    I have a few widget driven shortcodes and all of them generate the same redirect message. Fpr instance there is also the same problem on the Christian Meditation page.

    The “add to cart” buttons on the individual product pages all work properly. That is what is so strange.

    It looks like the best option is to hire someone to take a look at the issue. I recommend you to visit guru.com and find someone specifically from your country or U.S. or Canada, but stay away from people from India!
    I ran a site check and your site has tons of issues that needs to be addressed. Sorry I was unable to get a better answer.

    The comment about not hiring a developer from India comes across as a bit xenophobic.

    Sorry, if sounded that way, I had no intention. No, I do not have any problems with any nations and people! The warning is for hiring someone via from there via Guru. I have been a victim of that, loosing over $2000.00 and the entire website. They set up false information and advertise that they are U.S. based.
