• I was happily using WordPress until I updated to 4.5.1.

Now there is no longer any difference between visual and text!!!! I do not know codes, and now my site is basically inaccessible to me.

For example, on the visual tab:
    [vc_row fullwidth=”true” attached=”false” padding=”0″]
    And on the text tab:
    [vc_row fullwidth=”true” attached=”false” padding=”0″]

    This never happened before.

Also, a huge problem is that are the buttons are gone (visual), and I can no longer upload media, etc.

This is so unbeleivably distressful! How can the previous version be user-friendly, and the “update” such a disaster?????

    Can you help?????

@waymoreisrael: Are you using Visual Composer? If so, have you also updated it to version 4.11.2?

I am not using Visual Composer because I was told I’d have to pay $34 for it. I don’t understand why I’d have to pay to correct something which wasn’t my fault.

Visual Composer is not a part of WordPress as a whole; it works with WordPress, but it is not developed or maintained by WordPress. Visual Composer is included in many premium/paid themes, which are also not developed or maintained by WordPress or in these forums.

You need to get an update for the theme you are using; it may include an update for the jQuery issues and include an update for Visual Composer, too. If not, you will need to buy a new copy of Visual Composer for your theme and site to continue to work.

It seems that the theme we’re using (Jupiter) has become outdated so maybe that’s why I’m having these problems.

I am not a techie at all.

I will buy Visual Composer if that will solve the problem (even though in principle I’m against it). I just want my site back the way it was. So if that means buying VC I guess I’ll do it.

Start by making sure that all the plugins you are using are updated as well….
