• I am new to WprdPress, Spent many hours just trying to figure it out. When I tried to upload pictures, I got an error message.

I Googled this and found the same happened 4 years ago. “Error in uploading media”. 4 years and no permanent fix? How can that be possible. When will WordPress eventually become stable enough?

    Just Asking

  • There’s no “permanant fix” because when you look at the cause it’s almost always (like 99.999999999% of the time) a server issue that has nothing to do with the WordPress system. It’s almost impossible to “fix” a server issue universally because of the many 1,000 of different server configurations that are possible.

Well thanks for your reply. Much appreciated. That makes the problem even worse. I am not a programmer and don’t know code from a bar of soap. I will not even know where to begin or how to get Hetzner to help

    Thanks anyway

Sorry, but I have no idea who or what Hetzner is. If that’s a person, then if they have any idea about WordPress then they should be able ot fix it easily for you. If it’s a hosting company or something close, then they’ll most likely have an idea of what to do to help if you ask them about this.

Hetzner is my hosting company. I’ll ask them about it, or try at the very least. Thanks for your reply

I have GoDaddy and from what Ive read Im in for trouble. They dont like to help…sigh…so do I really have to switch hosting providers just to make wordpress work? Im getting the famous missing temporary folder error

@nlikens – Your problem has nothing to do this this 3-month old proble. As per the forum welcome, please open your own topic if you have a problem.
