I’m having an issue reported about viewing my site. The viewer didn’t mention what she was using to look at my page. But when I view my page in IE 8 it’s super messed up. I can view it in FF with no issues and wasn’t getting reports in by readers that anything was amiss. I can’t figure out what’s causing the issue.

I use the Cutline theme. I noticed that there are CSS sheets for IE 6 and IE 7 when I look at my editing options. I am really new to this and don’t want to go hacking away at things without a clue about what might be wrong.

    My site is https://housewifehacks.com

Could someone please help? I’m confused!

    Thanks,

    Amy

Most of the problems can probably be fixed by cleaning up the errors listed here:

I am also having the same issues. All is fine in Firefox, but my “pages” (not posts) are messed up in IE8. they are all centered and just showing sidebar stuff and not the body copy of the page. Please help!

    I use WP 2.8.6
    Connections Theme

381 errors llworldtour. Good chance cleaning that up will correct most of your problems.

THanks. I am sorry….i don’t really understand all this. My site looks fine on Firefox. And looks fine on IE…expect for my “Pages”.
Can you explain further what i have to do. Or will IE fix bugs?

    Thanks!!
    Lisa

IE isn’t good at fixing bugs, and you have 300+ according to Markup Validation Service.

If you aren’t sure I suggest you start by deactivating plugins to see which ones are causing errors.

Also, Firefox has an add-on called IE Renderer where you can view what your site looks like in all versions of IE.

I use the picture-perfect theme. I noticed that there are CSS sheets for IE 6 and IE 7 when I look at my editing options. I am really new to this and don’t want to go hacking away at things without a clue about what might be wrong.
