Problems uploading images

  • Hi,

    I’ve been trying to upload some images to my blog but keep getting the error message below:

    Unable to create directory /home/wwwmarc/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2010/04. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

  • Make sure that the upload folder has 777 or 755 permissions (this depends on the server configuration) assigned.

    If the above doesn’t work, assign 777 or 755 permissions to wp-content folder and try again to upload the images. If you success, revert the permissions of wp-content folder.

    You should be able to change the permissions via FTP. If you can’t do it via FTP, you can update your hosting provider to set the permissions for you.
