• I’m using the Contrast theme on my website and previously had issues uploading images to my site. I got round this by ensuring that none of my images were greater than 1490 pixels along the longest edge (this brought the size down in most cases to approx. 150kb). I’ve tried uploading more images today and am getting the same error message as before (Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 31457280) (tried to allocate 1024 bytes) in /homepages/36/********/htdocs/*****./wp-includes/media.php on line 2053) I’ve reduced the image size to 1000 pixels and the file size is now around 120 kb, and I really can’t go any smaller, but even this size won’t upload. Any ideas please?
I can upload the files via ftp but then can’t find them in WordPress. Is it poosible to use images uploaded by ftp in WordPress?

PS: In my Media Settings it states: “The sizes listed below determine the maximum dimensions in pixels to use when adding an image to the Media Library.” The maximum size is 1024 along the longest side – is this how it shows in the Library or does this refer to the actual maximum image size?
