Problems trying to change the google account used in Site Kit

    I had problems when I tried to change the Google account used in Site Kit, specificaly with Google Analytics showing only old account data.

    I Reset SiteKit with no problems.

    I started the configuration of SiteKit with the new account, but when it reaches the Google Analytics part it was only showing me the old account data.

    I completly loged out of my old account, but SiteKit was still showing me only old account data for Google Analytics.

    Only after deleting browser navigation data, including cookies, Reseting SiteKit for 8th time, and only if I dont select the option “Configure Analytics” at start, when I reach Google Analytics part I was still having old account data BUT the new account also apeared, and I was finaly able to select the new account Google Analytics property.

    If anyone else can try change from one account to another, and specialy the Google Analytics part, and confirm it is bugy, I will greatly apreciate it.

  • I am having the same problem. Google Site Kit is great if you don’t have these tools already.
    How did you clear navigation data? I have 6 months of Google Analytics 4 data that I would like to keep but I can’t get the system to find that account.

    Hi @chocofc1 thanks for opening a support topic. Glad to hear that you managed to change the Google account in Site Kit. I don’t recall another issue like this before but if you do encounter this again then please do let us know and provide a screen recording if possible which will help us to see this happening.

    In the meantime I will do some testing on this to see if we can replicate this. As you have managed to change the account I will mark this topic as closed
