Hi, I have problems with setting the hight correctly.

First there seem to be a padding on top of the panorama which I cannot get rid of. After checking in browser (FF, Chrome), it shows no padding inside my column so must be a padding inside the plugin.

Second there seem to be a bug in the block setting. When I change to Hight -> “vh” and type in a hight, I can set a hight but after applying the hight, the scale switches back to “px”.

Third an additional question: Is there a way to set specific image format like 16:9, 4:3 or 1:1 for the panorama? Setting the high by using px or vh does not work really well when there are several elements in one row.

    Using wordpress Twenty-Twenty-Three theme.

    Thank you!

  • Hi @wpzugang ,

    Thank you for using WPVR.

Can you give us some more details like – a link to your tour, which builder you’re using for it, and a screenshot of how you’ve applied the tour height?

We’ll have a look and see if we can give you a solution or replicate the issue on our end.

The website is not online yet but I can make some screenshots to better show you what I mean.

    1. Panorama padding in firefox analyzer (light grey). Both elements in one column block.

    2. Bug in height setting when using vh.

      Vh switches back to px:

    3. Variable aspect ratio depending in screen size which makes it not possible to put the panoramic picture and other picture in one row (or I just don’t know how to do that :D)

    Hi @wpzugang ,

We tried to recreate it on our end and we weren’t successful.

Can you please contact us on our end with some more info like the theme you’re using, your page builder, or any other front-end settings you have on the site?

Thank for your tryings. What exactly could you not reproduce? I actually have 3 problems.

My theme is Twenty-Twenty-Three and no other font settings were made. The theme is still quite virgin. I am still at the beginning of this website.

    Hi @wpzugang ,

    Here’s the details:

    2. We have identified it. It’s a minor issue – the vh value is applied to the tour height.

However, once you try to edit the page, you’ll see that it’s set as px.

Our developers have fixed it and it’ll be released on our next update.

For no 1. & 3, we need some more information like which theme you’re using and if you have applied any front-end designs or customization to the page.

We need some details like this to see what is causing the issue and find out a solution for you.

    2. Great! Wasn’t sure if it’s just an optical problem or really an issue with the height.

For 1 & 3: I use Twenty Twenty-Three – theme. There are no other design customiziations except a CSS rule “padding-top:0” because that theme has originally a padding on top of the website.

What else do you need to know?

I could solve problem 1 by putting the panorama in an extra column and set there: Block spacing 0. -> No more padding ?? Must be a specific Twenty-Twenty-Three problem. Now the whole block construct looks like this: https://aeropano.net/wordpress-img/Block_spacing_for_no_more_padding.JPG

Now I only need to find a way to set a specific aspect ratio for the panoramic picture. I tried to add Additional CSS class(es) but nothing changes:

    aspect-ratio: 16 / 9;

Any ideas how to set a fixed aspect-ratio?

    Hi @wpzugang ,

    Thank you for the details.

We’re really sorry that completely missed the information in the thread about the theme you’re using.

Since it’s a theme specific scenario, I think that your current solution will keep working here.

Now about the image ratio, it solely depends on how you’re capturing the images.

Ideally, we prefer images of a 2:1 ratio to ensure the best visual outcome possible.

We don’t have any option to set up the ratio like this in the plugin.

However, you can use any third-party tool like: https://www.befunky.com/ to fix your ratio.

Let us know if you have any questions or facing any other issues.

    We’ll get back to you.

Hi, how does the program helps me to set the aspect ratio for the WPVR plugin? My panoramic pictures all have 2:1 ratio but this has nothing to do with how the plugin displays the picture.

Is there a way to set the aspect ratio with additional CSS? As I mentioned before, my code “aspect-ratio: 16 / 9” didn’t work.

    Hi @wpzugang ,

You’ll be glad to know that the original issue with setting WPVR Tour heights has been resolved.

Btw, that program can help you with simple tasks like fixing your image dimensions and ratio.

Since your requirements are higher, you can look for any professional tools.

    Regards,
