• I said I’m running 2.2 but I’m not sure, I downloaded and installed within this past week so I assume I have the latest.

I have installed WP to https://www.mydomain.com/blogs/
and it does work, if I keep trying. But what happens is that when I go to the address it always immediately redirects to the top level at https://www.mydomain.com, which is something totally different with no blog installation at all.

Then if I put the address in my browser a 2nd time, it will go there and stick. Obviously this means people will never see my blog cause they will see something else instead and think thats where the link took them. No reason to try again when you already loaded a page.

Whats up and how do I solve this? I had problems installing in subdirs before, but I did follow the installation for that. Does WP really just not work right unless its in the top-level? Somebody should either fix subdir problems or take it out of the choices for an install.

    Please help if you can.

    Christian

That is not what I want to do. That is actually the opposite. I have my blog installed to a subdir and thats where it needs to run from. It keeps redirecting to the top level domain, ignoring the subdir its installed in. If I put the subdir in the URL a 2nd time, it will go there the 2nd time. WHats up with that and how do i get it to just load from the subdir, where all the files and index.php are? What makes it point back to the domain root every time the page gets hit?

What are the 2 URi values in admin > Options > General?
