    Hi.

I’m hosted at elementor.com and using free Wordfence plugin.

If I optimize Wordfence firewall, it says will create a user.ini file, and also say that the server uses NGINX.
I’d optimized firewall, and received a message from Wordfence about a critical error in the possible access to the “user.ini” file. I clicked on “fix”, but it responded saying that: “You are using a server with Nginx and you use a FastCGI php5-fpm processor. You will need to delete or hide these files”. My hosting said: “At the moment, Elementor Cloud Website does not count with the capacity to edit/delete/hide files within the NGINX webserver configuration as per the Cloud Website infrastructure at this moment.Kindly note that .ini files are not used by Elementor or by the Elementor Cloud hosting platform. That said, the customers that use default setups or that do not use plugins that use such files are safe.”

Is my website secure without optimize Wordfence firewall?

    Thank you in advance,
    Gabriel.

    Hi @galapu,

Elementor Cloud, for the reasons you’ve highlighted above is a host where Wordfence can’t currently fully optimize the firewall. You can continue to use Wordfence on “Basic Protection”, but naturally that is not as secure and not our recommended state.

    Thanks,
    Peter.

    Hi, @wfpeter.

    Thank you for the information.

I think I’ll move to other hosting when finished my year.

    Ty again,

    Gabriel.
