Problems logging in and no email when I reset password

This has happened twice now. The first time I assumed I had forgotten to write down the most recent password. Luckily I had another author to the site send me an invite to get back in. But first he tried to give me a new password for my username and that would not work.

So I clear my cashe, history but not my logins for Firefox yesterday. Then I try to get back into the blog and can’t. I try so many times I am locked out. I wait and then ask to reset the password and the email never arrives. The other author sends me a new password and again that doesn’t work. Only when I get an invite does it work. I write the password down for what it is worth but like last time if I clear my browser things just don’t work right. Even the other author who is more familiar with WP has no idea why it is not working. He says when I find out let him know.

BTW with all my logins for everything else I have ZERO problems just with WP.

I use Go Daddy as host and changed a setting with Contact Information where it was filtering for spam and now just have it forward all email to my email. Not sure if that was the issue.

I do not know how to put in code with WP. So need detailed info on this.

I also tried using Chrome to see if it was a browser issue and neither one worked. I also removed all logins for the site from Firefox to see if it was defaulting in some way. That didn’t help.

I did change my IP address from VPN (unblockus) and maybe does WP track the IP address and now I had a new IP address it was suspect?

I get no errors so have no idea what the problem is.
