Problems loading PDF in IE

  • What happens if you access one of the PDF files in IE directly? Right-clic a PDF link and choose “Open in a new tab…” to see.

    Does this mean there no solution for opening a PDF in fancybox in IE?

    I’m not sure why IE would show the PDF in a new browser tab but not in the lightbox. At least it means that the PDF browser plugin is installed.

    This is what you can try as an alternative:

    1. Disable the PDF option on Settings > Media
    2. Enable the iFrame option
    3. Give all PDF links a class="fancybox-iframe" attribute

    Then try the link again in IE ??
