Problems installing locally

    I’m trying to install WordPress locally on my computer following Installing WordPress on your own Computer but I get stuck at “enter application information”. Whatever I do there I get the message:

    The source is invalid
    Cannot connect to the database “.
    Cannot connect to the database “.
    Access denied for user ‘root’@’localhost’ (using password: YES)

    Any suggestions?
