Problems in combination with Woocommerce since new update 2.0.0

Thanks for the fast feedback. Bug “When adding a new product, in the wysiwyg editor is a text filled in from this plugin (The text that is used on the popup)” is fixed in version 2.0.1.

Now we will look into this js/css issue with Woocommerce.

Do you have any test/ development site where I could check that error? I see that you use several scripts/plugins and this conflict might be with some other plugin and not with Woocommerce.

Yes, i have a test / development site, but that site is installed locally in Wampserver, and not available on the internet. So that is not possible.

I think I found and solved your problem with WooCommerce. Please try, version 2.0.2 is out.

My apogolizes for the late response. But I was very busy in the meantime.

I tested the plugin with the new updated version 2.0.2, but I have to tell you that the problem is still the same. It also looks like the website is slower with the plugin activated. In the productpage and cart are still no + and – signs.

I have deactivated again your plugin, and now is the problem solved again……

I believe that the reason is that old version of script is still cached in your browser locally. To refresh your browser cache, you should try “Hard Refresh”, for that please act as following:
1) Enable plugin;
2) Open page showing error;
3) Press Ctrl+F5 (Windows and Linux); Apple+R OR Shift + refresh (Apple/Safari);
4) I hope this helps.

In future versions such “Hard Refreshes” will be not needed.

If this doesn’t help, then I need errors output of your browser javascript console. I have WooCommerce in my own test environment and have not such issue.

I already deleted this plugin, I found out that this plugin affected the speed of the website. Without this plugin it seems to be that the website is a little bit faster.

Gaston, I have to mention that on another day when you reported about your problem, I actually opened random page of your site, to check what scripts and jquery versions are in use. I found out, that your site loads following jquery and jquery-migrate scripts, concurrently:

This was situation in your page without our plugin. Loading 5 different versions of jquery + some jquery-migrate scripts, and none of jqueries from local wp-includes folder where WP plugins must by default search for it, is definitely not good: Not for functionality, not for stability, not for performance. You should find someone to look over your site source, because every next WP plugin you may want to add or update in your page can act unexpectedly in such conditions.

Thanks for your advise in this! I didn’t know this.

I just checked on Google about the jquery issue you advised me on. I found out that when the website is using the Google AJAX Libraries CDN then the website is using the newest versions of jquery loaded from the Google CDN. I have installed the Use Google Libraries plugin for a while already. If I understand correct this must solve the problem with different versions of jquery.

Is that possible the reason why you see that none of the jquery is loaded locally from the server?

Loading jquery from Google is not bad, IF it comes from “Use Google Libraries” plugin or alike. Use Google Libraries plugin is also tested with our plugin.

Bad is that you have 2+ different versions of jQuery. That means that your have at least 4 pieces of scripts what perfectly ignore “Use Google Libraries” plugin and load their own versions of jQuery (some also from google btw), some in conflict mode.

Here a screenshot of jQuery versions used by your site random page today, 20.12.2014:
1.10.2 – loaded by “Use Google Libraries”;
1.9.1 – probably loaded by some Cloudflare service, uses “conflict mode”;
1.11.1 – ? unknown orign;
1.11.0 – ? some script loaded from https://www.wugly.nl initates that loading;
1.8.1 – ? unknown orign.
