    Hi,

    I am starting building a webpage and the browsers in the office both Chrome and Explorer display only text,like HTLM, but withouth the markings. I have tried several themes withouth luck. I am using wordpress with an external host.

    The problem is that I cannot update the browsers and all my customers will be working in companies that will not allow for browser upgrade either, so I need the webpage to display correctly on them.

    Usually, I can see all webpages correctly. A couple of months ago a colleague sent me the webpage for his company and it displayed very bad, I thought it was just a bad work building the page, but now I went back to it at home and realize that it is the office browsers.

    Could you please let me know what do you think I should do?

    Thanks in advanced for any infomation you can provide me,

    Best regards,
    Gladys

    Hi Gladys, it could be an issue with your firewall on the network. Networks that break websites and browsers that are not upgraded are a small minority of users, so I would not worry too much about it. You need to speak to the person who does your networking as it is not acceptable that you cannot view these sites properly, it hampers your ability to do your work.

    Try adding this inside your head tag in header.php:

    <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge">

    It has solved the network issue for me in the past.

    Hi Martin, thanks for your answer. Do I need to create a child theme to add the tab into the header?

    Ok, I found the head tag and added the line, but it does not solve the issue.

    The reason, I am worried is that I usually have no problems displaying webpages. I have only found this in the one I am working on, and another a colleague sent me, so I am worried that more people will run into the problem.

    It started since I installed worpress, so the pre loaded page did not displayed correctly, so I am wondering if it migth be related to a wordpress setting.
