• Uploaded my images for the website layout in the correct directory but having problems to have the images displayed for the header and background. Havn’t tried uploading images for my posts coz am still modifying the look of the my weblog.
Could any of you explain to me if CHMODing has anything to do with the display of images for the layout (am not talking about the posts here) such as the header and background picture etc.
    Thanks ….

  • My guess is wp and you aren’t agreeing on where the images are.
A link will get this sorted much quicker……….

Sorry podz ….. here is the link to my website
    https://www.fhusseini.com/wordpress
By the way have succesfully uploaded an image into one of my test posts but still no luck with the header. The image for the header is in the same folder as the image uploaded for the post i.e. wp-content.
Please check and let me know what I should do.

The test image has an extra slash in its URL. It reads as: https:///www.fhusseini.com/wordpress/wp-content/Sunset_01.jpg
The correct URL should be https://www.fhusseini.com/wordpress/wp-content/Sunset_01.jpg
Check you URLs in Options/General and make sure every thing’s ok. If so, then you just made a mistake entering in the image URL.

I knew about this problem and tried to fix it through Options/General but all my attempts to save the change to the URI went in vain. WordPress just insists on returning 3 slashes!!

Returing to my original enquiry could you just check my website and advise why my header is refusing to show up.

    Thanks
