ok, i resolve the IE 8 issue by hitting the “compatibilty” tab and it fixed the page. however i cannot find a compatibility tab in firefox 3.52? can anyone help me?

There is no “Compatibility” tab in Firefox. Or any any browser except IE8. It was added to IE8 to solve the issues that would have been otherwise created by those who didn’t know how to code a site for anything other than IE7.

Start by sorting out the validation issues and CSS errors on your site.

thank you Esmi! i’m sure this information is going to be very helpful to me!

i really appreciate your quick responses…

You could try running IE 8 in Compatibility Mode, which displays pages as they would appear in IE 6 or 7 with the security and speed of IE 8. Here is a link to show you how to run IE8 in compatibility mode:

Actually, I came across an issue on this forum where neither IE 8 in Compatibility Mode nor IE7 mode in IETester replicated the layout that appeared in a native IE7 browser. So whilst IE 8 in Compatibility Mode is good as a rough guide, it’s not infallible. ??
