Problems calculating postage on certain products

    I’m having problems with postage not being calculated for certain items in my shop to some countries.

    I have customers who are ordering from us from outside Europe who are unable to calculate postage for their addresses and then unable to order, but it only happens with certain products that we sell; I can put one product in the basket and get postage, but not another. I can’t see anything set differently between the product pages that do work and don’t, and there’s no obvious common attribute between products that do calculate; they’re different sizes and weights.

    The person who set up the site seems to have done it mostly through CSS and code rather than the settings, so I’m not sure exactly how the postage works as there’s nothing in the options to really play with. We are using the Royal Mail Plugin, which may be why postage is working elsewhere.

    Ah right – that does make it harder to see what the issue might be.

    Is the code in the theme’s functions.php file?

    What should I be looking out for in the code? I’ve looked, but I can’t see anything pertaining to shipping or postage in there.

    I would think you’d see references to Shipping or Weight etc?

    Are you sure it’s not being done by the Royal Mail plugin?

    Or maybe a plugin that is listed in the installed plugins page?

    Are you using a child theme? It might even be in the template files?

    Just had a quick look at the source code for your cart page and I’m seeing CSS like:

    shipping_method_0_table_rate17-worldwide-airmail

    It looks like maybe some sort of Table Rate plugin is being used?
